NinjaOne Integration: Prerequisites

The NinjaOne integration requires some prerequisite steps in NinjaOne before the integration can be set up in your Rev.io environment. Complete the following prerequisites before configuring the NinjaOne integration in your Rev.io instance.

During the configuration for the NinjaOne integration, you will need to register Rev.io as an application in NinjaOne. Additionally, you will need to copy your Client ID, and Client Secret for the Rev.io app.

  1. Go to Administration > Apps > API > Client App IDs.
  2. Click the Add button on the right.
  3. Select Web as the Application Platform.
  4. Provide a descriptive Name for your integration.
  5. Enter https://oauth2.prismatic.io/callback in the Redirect URIs field.
  6. Select the Monitoring, Management, and Control options in the Scopes section.
  7. Select the Refresh Token option in the Grant Types section.
  8. Click Save
  9. A pop-up window will display your Client Secret.
  10. Copy and store this secret in a secure place (e.g., 1Password or AWS Secrets Manager). Once you close the window, you cannot see your Client Secret again, and if you lose it, you'll need to generate a new one, which may require updating any existing integrations.
  11. After closing the secret window, the Client ID will be visible in the list of applications on the same page. Copy and store the ID in a secure place.

For additional information, see NinjaOne's documentation to Register Regular Web Applications.

When you are finished with the prerequisite steps and are ready to configure the NinjaOne integration for your environment, see the NinjaOne Integration: Configuration article.
