Portal.io Integration: Notifications
The integration can alert you about five types of events. You configure which channels each event uses during setup on the Notifications page. All channels are enabled by default.
Notification Events
| Event | When It Fires |
| Products Auto-Created | The sync created one or more new products and is holding the quote for your review. |
| Sync Success | A proposal synced cleanly to a quote and was approved, if Auto-Approve is on. |
| Sync Failure | Something went wrong during the sync. |
| New Customer | The integration created a new Rev.io customer from a proposal. |
| Ambiguous Customer | The sync was blocked because it could not confidently identify one customer. |
Notification Channels
The following channels are available for each event.
| Channel | Description |
| Rev.io Push Notification | An in-app notification sent to the Rev.io user designated as the Notification User during setup. |
| Rev.io Note | A note written on the quote, or on the customer for the New Customer event. |
| Portal.io Internal Note | A note written back onto the proposal in Portal.io, visible to your team but not to the client. |
| Action Required Flag | For events that need attention, such as new products or a new customer, the quote is flagged so it stands out in Rev.io. |
You can turn any channel off for any event. Turning everything off for an event silences it entirely.
| NOTE: Push notifications go to the single Rev.io user selected as the Notification User during setup. Make sure it is someone who actively monitors these alerts. |
