IT Glue Integration: Overview

IT Glue is a documentation platform built for managed service providers that centralizes asset records, credentials, and organizational information in a single place. Integrating Rev.io with IT Glue allows your team to access IT Glue asset records and credentials directly from within Rev.io, without switching between applications.

You can integrate Rev.io with IT Glue using the Integrations Library in the Admin module. The integration provides the following synchronization between Rev.io and IT Glue:

• Account Sync: IT Glue organizations are linked to Rev.io customers so that asset and password data lands under the correct account. Organization name, primary email, domain, and address sync between systems on an hourly basis.
• Asset Sync: IT Glue Flexible Assets are kept aligned with Rev.io asset records, including name, serial number, operating system, IP address, install date, and any trait fields you map. The integration matches assets by serial number and creates new Rev.io records for anything that does not match. NOTE: This integration works with IT Glue Flexible Assets only. IT Glue Configurations are a separate entity type and do not sync.
• Password Management: Technicians can reveal IT Glue-stored credentials from inside Rev.io. Passwords are never copied or cached in Rev.io and are fetched live from IT Glue only when a technician clicks Reveal. NOTE: The Passwords tab is only visible on assets linked through this integration, and only for users whose role has the View Asset Passwords permission. If a technician cannot see the tab, verify their role permissions.
