Ingram Micro Integration: Overview
Ingram Micro is one of the world's largest technology distributors, offering physical goods across hundreds of vendors including HP, Cisco, Dell, Lenovo, and more. The Ingram Micro Xvantage Reseller API gives resellers programmatic access to their own negotiated pricing, product availability, and catalog data.
You can integrate Rev.io with Ingram Micro using the Integrations Library in the Admin module. The integration features a one-way sync that updates product costs in the Rev.io product catalog based on your client-specific pricing from Ingram Micro's Xvantage Reseller API. The sync runs automatically on a recurring schedule once the integration is connected.
When the integration runs, it reads each product's Purchasing tab in the Rev.io product catalog and looks for vendor entries assigned to Ingram Micro. For each match, the integration updates the Estimated Cost field with the latest dealer pricing returned by the Xvantage API. If a product in your catalog does not yet have Ingram Micro listed as a vendor, the integration can also cross-reference the product's Manufacturer Part Number against the Ingram Micro catalog and automatically add Ingram Micro as a new vendor row on the Purchasing tab when a match is found.
Pricing returned by the Xvantage API is client-specific, meaning the costs synced to Rev.io reflect your company's negotiated dealer pricing with Ingram Micro rather than a public price sheet. The integration determines your pricing tier from the Customer Number you provide during configuration, which maps to your Ingram Micro reseller account.
Once configured by an admin, the Ingram Micro integration runs in the background for your entire Rev.io environment. Individual users do not need to take any action to use it. Deactivating the integration disables it for your entire company.
To configure the Ingram Micro integration for your environment, see the Ingram Micro Integration: Prerequisites article and then the Ingram Micro Integration: Configuration article.
