Customer Module Overview

The Customer module is where you manage all of your customer accounts, contacts, assets, quotes, and opportunities. Customers are the central records in Rev.io that tickets, invoices, contacts, assets, and other activity are created against. Access the Customer module by clicking Customers in the sidebar.

Leads and Customer Creation

Before creating a customer record, consider using a lead to capture the prospect while you gather the information needed to create a full customer account. Leads only require a name to get started and allow you to track sales activity, create opportunities, and generate quotes before the customer is ready to be activated. When the time comes, the lead can be converted directly into a customer record. See the Lead List View article for more information. Customers can also be created directly without a lead if you already have the required billing information. See the Add/Edit Customers article for more information.

Customers

The Customer List View displays all customer accounts in your Rev.io instance. From here you can search, filter, and access individual customer profiles, as well as create new customers.

Customer Profile

The customer profile is the central record for each customer in Rev.io. It is organized into four main tabs, each covering a different area of the customer relationship.

  • Overview Tab: Contains summary information, billing details, addresses, contacts, portal users, journal notes, and related accounts. See the Customer Profile: Overview Tab article for more information.
  • Servicing Tab: Contains tickets, calendar items, assets, projects, contracts, recurring schedules, and service information. See the Customer Profile: Servicing Tab article for more information.
  • Billing Tab: Contains invoices, unposted charges, payment history, payment accounts, ledger, collections, recurring services, and agreements. See the Customer Profile: Billing Tab article for more information.
  • Quotes Tab: Contains opportunities, quotes, and proposals. See the Customer Profile: Quotes Tab article for more information.

Agreements

Agreements allow you to define the services, block hours, and recurring charges covered under a customer's service agreement, and track profitability and utilization over time.

Assets

The Asset List View displays all assets across your Rev.io instance. Assets are physical or virtual items associated with a customer, such as equipment, software licenses, or managed devices.
