QuickBooks Desktop Export: Overview
The QuickBooks Desktop Export tool allows you to export financial data from Rev.io as CSV files that can be imported into QuickBooks Desktop. Because QuickBooks Desktop does not natively support CSV imports, a third-party tool called Transaction Pro Importer is used as the bridge between your exported CSV files and QuickBooks Desktop.
Prerequisites
Before using the QuickBooks Desktop Export tool, confirm the following are in place:
- QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise) installed and open on your computer.
- Transaction Pro Importer installed on the same computer as QuickBooks Desktop. You can purchase a license at rightworks.com. Select Desktop and Importer Only ($199 one-time fee).
- Admin access to Rev.io with permissions to use the Bulk Tools section.
| NOTE: This is a one-way export. Data flows from Rev.io to QuickBooks Desktop only. Changes made in QuickBooks will not sync back to Rev.io, and changes made in Rev.io after an export will not automatically update QuickBooks. Run a new export to capture updates. |
