Inventory Management: Overview

The Inventory module allows you to track various details for your products, including price, cost, manufacturer, etc. using the Product Catalog. Additionally, the Inventory Management component allows you to track and manage stocked items across multiple locations, maintain accurate records of quantities and serial numbers, and monitor item movements to ensure the right products are always available.

Certain functionality available in the Inventory Management component builds on ticketing and purchasing functionality. For example, when Inventory Management is enabled, you can stage receipts on purchase orders before officially committing them to inventory. You can also track serial numbers when entering receipts and reserve certain products in your inventory for use on specific tickets.
