Rapid Response Integration: Prerequisites
| NOTE: Rapid Response API access is provisioned by Rapid Response, not through a self-service portal. Complete the steps below before configuring the integration in your Rev.io environment. |
Request an External Login from Rapid Response
Once the integration is approved for production, contact your Rapid Response Dealer Support Representative to request an external login for this integration. Rapid Response provisions the login (a username and password) and sets its permission level, which covers all of the API endpoints the integration needs. Provide these credentials to your team through your standard secure method so they can be entered during configuration.
Gather Your Configuration Values
During configuration you will need the following values. The connection values come from the external login Rapid Response provisions. The settings values come from your Rapid Response account.
- API Base URL: the Rapid Response REST API endpoint for your environment:
- Production:
https://eastapi.rrms.com/RestAPI/api - East Dev:
https://eastdevapi.rrms.com/RestAPIDev/api - West Dev:
https://westdevapi.rrms.com/RestAPIDev/api
- Production:
- External Login (Username and Password): the API credentials provisioned by your Rapid Response Dealer Support Representative, used to authenticate the integration.
- Dealer Number: your Rapid Response dealer group number (SiteGroupNum). All synced accounts are linked to this dealer group.
- Default Device Type: the panel/device type code applied to new accounts, taken from your Rapid Response account.
- Default Timezone: the Rapid Response time zone number applied to new accounts, taken from your Rapid Response account.
You will also choose a Rev.io bill profile during configuration. This is the bill profile assigned to new Rev.io customers created from Rapid Response sites. Make sure the bill profile you want to use exists and is active in Rev.io before you begin.
When you have your external login, API Base URL, dealer number, default device type, and default time zone, continue to the Rapid Response Integration: Configuration article.
