ConnectWise RMM Integration: Overview
ConnectWise RMM (on the ConnectWise Asio platform) is a remote monitoring and management solution that managed service providers use to monitor and manage their clients' endpoints. Integrating Rev.io with ConnectWise RMM keeps your customer accounts aligned between the two platforms, so the companies you monitor in ConnectWise RMM stay in step with the customer accounts you bill and service in Rev.io.
You can set up the ConnectWise RMM integration using the Integrations Library in the Admin module. The integration provides a bidirectional sync between Rev.io customer accounts and ConnectWise RMM companies, with Rev.io as the authoritative system on any conflict.
- Accounts to Companies (outbound): Rev.io customers are created and updated as companies in ConnectWise RMM, and each Rev.io address is written as a site under the company. The company name, activity status, and a description containing the Rev.io ID and contact details are kept in sync.
- Companies to Accounts (inbound, optional): When enabled, a limited set of fields — company name and description — flows from ConnectWise RMM back to Rev.io for linked accounts, and new ConnectWise RMM companies can be matched to existing Rev.io customers. This direction is disabled by default. Billing, contracts, phone, email, website, and address are never pulled into Rev.io.
When the integration is first set up, it automatically matches ConnectWise RMM companies to Rev.io customers by name. Confident matches are linked automatically and the rest are held as pending for you to confirm. After the initial setup, the sync runs automatically every 30 minutes — Rev.io to ConnectWise RMM first, then ConnectWise RMM back to Rev.io if the reverse sync is enabled.
