Rapid Response Integration: Overview

Rapid Response is a professional alarm monitoring provider (a central station) that monitors security, fire, and life-safety systems on behalf of dealers and their customers. Integrating Rev.io with Rapid Response keeps your customer accounts aligned with the monitored sites in Rapid Response, so the customers you bill and service in Rev.io stay in step with the sites being monitored on your dealer account.

You can set up the Rapid Response integration using the Integrations Library in the Admin module. The integration provides a two-way sync between Rev.io customer accounts and Rapid Response monitoring sites.

  • Accounts to Sites (outbound): Rev.io customer accounts are created and updated as monitoring sites in Rapid Response under your dealer group, including site name, address, region, time zone, and site type (residential or commercial). The outbound sync runs at the top of each hour.
  • Sites to Customers (inbound): Rapid Response sites are synced back to Rev.io. New sites create Rev.io customers, and existing customers are updated when the site data changes in Rapid Response. Site type maps to the Rev.io customer identity (commercial maps to Business, residential maps to Residential), and a site marked cancelled in Rapid Response sets the corresponding Rev.io customer to a closed status. The inbound sync runs at half past each hour.

New Rev.io customers created from Rapid Response sites are assigned the bill profile you select during configuration.
