ADI Global Distribution Integration: Prerequisites
Before configuring the ADI Global Distribution integration, ensure the following prerequisites are in place.
ADI API Credentials
API access must be enabled on your ADI account before the integration can connect. Contact your ADI representative to request API credentials for the ADI Price & Inventory API. ADI will provide the following:
- API Key
- API Password
- API Secret Key
Keep these credentials available during configuration. They are specific to your ADI environment — production credentials only work against the ADI production environment, and test credentials only work against the ADI test environment. Mixing credentials from one environment with the base URL of another will result in an authorization error.
Product Catalog Preparation
For the integration to recognize and update your ADI products, your product catalog must be prepared as follows.
- Products already linked to ADI must have the ADI item number in the SKU/USOC field on the ADI vendor line.
- Products not yet linked to ADI must have an accurate Manufacturer Part # on the product record. The integration uses this value to find the matching ADI item and link it automatically.
Manufacturer part number matching is not case-sensitive and ignores extra spaces, but the full part number must match exactly. Products without a matching manufacturer part number will not be linked.
Once your ADI credentials and product catalog are ready, see the ADI Global Distribution Integration: Configuration article to complete setup.
