Portal.io Integration: Auto-Approve and Quote Review
After the integration builds a quote from an accepted proposal, one of three things happens depending on your Auto-Approve Quotes setting and whether any new products were created.
| Situation | What the Integration Does |
| Everything matched your existing catalog and Auto-Approve is ON | Approves the quote automatically. Rev.io then creates the ticket and any recurring services. |
| Everything matched your existing catalog and Auto-Approve is OFF | Leaves the quote in Draft. You approve it yourself whenever you are ready. |
| The integration had to create one or more new products | Always leaves the quote in Draft for review, regardless of the Auto-Approve setting. The quote is flagged so you know to check the new products before approving. |
| NOTE: The integration never auto-approves a quote when it creates new products, regardless of your Auto-Approve setting. Approving a quote in Rev.io is final; it generates the ticket and starts billing. The integration will not bill a client for a newly created product without giving you the chance to review it first. |
The Auto-Approve Quotes setting only controls the first two situations: whether clean, fully-matched quotes are approved automatically or held in Draft. We recommend leaving it off while you get comfortable with the integration, then turning it on once you trust the matches.
