Managing Customers in Rev.io Billing for Use in Rev.io PSA

Creating a customer in Billing provides several field options for advanced customization. While you can configure any number of these fields when creating customers in Billing, only certain fields are mapped to your Rev.io PSA environment.

Billing Fields Visible in PSA

The following Billing fields are visible in PSA. Entering any information in fields other than the ones listed below can still be essential for your business processes, but the data will not be visible in Rev.io PSA.

Create a Customer Screen

Account Type*

Type of customer in your database. Account Type options include Standard, Parent, and Child. PSA only supports Standard accounts at this time.

Class*

Class associated with the customer. Class options include Business and Residential. This field maps to the Identity field in PSA.

Website

URL for the customer's website.

Email

Email address for the customer. If you select Email or Print & Email for the Bill Method, the Email field is required.

While Billing supports multiple email addresses separated by a comma, PSA only supports one email address per customer.

Bill Method

Method by which the customer will receive their bill. If you select Email or Print & Email for the Bill Method, the Email field is required.

Customer Name

Name of the company on the customer record in your database.

Address*

Address on the customer record.

Customer Profile Screen

Primary Phone

Main phone number on the customer record.

You must add services with a TN (telephone number) on the customer in Rev.io Billing before you can assign a phone number as a BTN (billing telephone number) to the customer.

Status*

Status of the customer record. Status options include Open, Pending, Prospect, or Closed.

Fields Visible Only in PSA

These fields on the Customer Profile exist only in Rev.io PSA and are not mapped to any fields in Rev.io Billing.
