Customer Profile: Billing Section - Ledger Tab
The Ledger tab on the Customer Profile screen contains a record of all billing transactions on the customer record, payments, invoices, charges, and credits. The Ledger acts as a log of all financial/billing activity for the customer's account.
Each field on the Ledger tab is defined below.
No. | Label | Definition |
1 | Account | Numerical identifier for the customer account in your database. |
2 | Type | Type of transaction. Type options include Charge, Credit, Invoice, and Payment. |
3 | Date | Date and time the transaction took place. |
4 | Description | Description of the transaction. |
5 | Charge | Amount in dollars and cents for any charges in the transaction. |
6 | Credit | Amount in dollars and cents for any credits in the transaction. |
7 | Balance | Amount in dollars and cents of the remaining balance due on the customer account. |
The following actions are available on the Ledger tab.
- Sort the results in the table by clicking the column label in the table header.
- Search the transactions displayed on this tab by selecting a column from the dropdown above the grid and entering text in the Search field. The list view updates to display records matching your search in the column you selected.
- Customize which columns display in the list view and the order in which they display by clicking the Arrange button and making the desired changes. See the Arrange Columns article for more information.
- Access quick actions for payments, charges, credits, or invoices on the customer account. See the Customer Profile: Quick Actions article for more information.
