# Slack & Teams Integrations: Overview

The Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations enable Rev.io PSA users to send automated messages to their communication channels when specific events occur in the PSA system. These integrations work through the existing workflow feature, extending the notification capabilities beyond email to popular team communication platforms.

Both the Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations must be **configured in two main steps**: the **initial admin configuration** to set up the integration in your environment and **individual user configurations** to allow users to connect to their specific Slack/Teams accounts.
