# Delete API Keys

From the API Keys list view, you can delete API keys for your Rev.io instance in just a few easy steps. An API key is a unique identifier that allows secure communication between your Rev.io platform and other applications.

| **NOTE:** Once an API key is deleted, it cannot be recovered. |

1.  From the API Management screen, locate the key you want to delete and click the **Delete** button at the end of the row.

2.  If you are sure you want to delete the API key, click the **Delete** button. Otherwise, click the **Cancel** button. **NOTE: If you delete an API key, you will be unable to access it again.**
